SPTpol is a polarization sensitive microwave camera installed on the South Pole Telescope. It has been observing the Cosmic Microwave Background since early 2012.
In the first AID of 2015, Tyler Natoli will present recent results from SPTpol observations including polarization power spectra and gravitational lensing measurements. He will then discuss the detector technology of SPTpol and compare it to SPT-3G, which is a tri-chroic camera with 16,000 bolometers set to be installed on the South Pole Telescope in early 2016.
