Planetarium Show – Exploring Our Own Backyard

Mars rover_600x400pxWe live in an age of exciting discoveries about planets orbiting distant stars. But we should not forget the planets we see moving through our own sky.

We are still making discoveries about the planets next door. Recently, we’ve discovered evidence for past fresh water lakes on Mars, a magnetic field around Mercury, and a hexagonal storm at the north pole of Saturn. In this months planetarium show, take a journey through the Solar System, see how our understanding of planets has evolved, and look ahead to future discoveries.

Explore the Sun’s family of planets, as well as the night sky as seen from Toronto, in this fascinating planetarium show presented live by a U of T astronomer.

Showtimes: 7pm and 8pm

Tickets to public shows must be purchased at the door.  Reservations are not required.  Tickets are $5 per person and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
