Jennifer Chan is a postdoctoral fellow at the Canadian Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA) and the Dunlap Institute, supported by CITA and University of Toronto Faculty of Arts & Science Fellowships. She earned her Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Astrophysics from University College London and her Bachelor’s in Physics from Oxford. Her research probes cosmic magnetic fields and the early Universe — specifically the Dark Ages, Cosmic Dawn, and Epoch of Reionization — using light’s journey to reveal the structures and physical processes shaping the cosmos. She has also developed advanced data analysis tools for multi-scale, multi-directional examination of 360-degree datasets, such as all-sky astronomical surveys.
