Date, time and place

Ceremony

The wedding ceremony took place at 11.00am on Sunday, March 24th, 2002 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The ceremony was held in the library of Winthrop House, Harvard College, former home of Laura Beth and John F Kennedy (although not at the same time).

Winthrop House is at 32 Mill St, Cambridge MA 02138; the library is located in "C Entryway" of Standish Hall, which is located between the southern ends of Dunster St and Mill St, Cambridge. Click here for a map which shows how to get to Standish Hall. The wedding ceremony was officiated by Dr Charles Bugg and Rabbi Devon Lerner.

Reception

A brunch reception immediately followed the ceremony, and was held in the Winthrop House Junior Common Room, located in "H Entryway" of the adjacent Gore Hall. Music was provided by the Harry Fix Trio.

Directions

By car or taxi: Parking in the area is extremely difficult. The nearest parking station is on Eliot St, opposite the Kennedy School of Government, in Harvard Square. The address of Winthrop House is 32 Mill St, Cambridge MA 02138.

Public transport: Catch the red line of the subway ("T") to the Harvard Square stop. Take the main subway exit (not Church St, Brattle St or Harvard Yard). Walk east along Massachusetts Ave, past Dunster St and the "Au Bon Pain" cafe, to Holyoke St. Turn right into Holyoke St, and walk straight down this road, crossing over Mt Auburn St (at this point Holyoke St changes name to Mill St), then Winthrop St and then South St. At the bottom of Mill St, turn right onto the small service road. The C Entryway of Standish Hall will be on your left. Enter and the library will be immediately on your right. Click here for a map showing this route.
