Ajay Gill

Ajay Gill is a PhD student in the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics under the supervision of Dr. Barth Netterfield.

He is interested in experimental cosmology and studying the large scale structure of the Universe by developing and using novel astronomical instrumentation, specifically the SuperBIT and GigaBIT balloon-borne telescopes. He received his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2018 and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba in 2015.

We wish to acknowledge this land on which the University of Toronto operates. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land. For more information.
