Morgan Bennett

Morgan Bennett is a PhD student focused on galactic dynamics. In particular, she is interested in the vertical structure and dynamics in the Milky Way. She first began working with Prof. Jo Bovy on the impact dark matter sub halos have on stellar streams to better understand the Galactic halo profile and constrain the number of low-mass satellites. She is currently working on uncovering the cause of vertical oscillations in the Galactic disk to constrain the history and structure of the Milky Way. She graduated from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia with an Honours Degree in Mathematical Physics before beginning her graduate studies at the University of Toronto in 2016.
