Jessica Campbell is a second year graduate student interested in Galactic magnetism and interstellar extinction. Through her work on Galactic magnetism with Prof. Bryan Gaensler, she uses a collection of multi-frequency maps of the Galaxy to estimate magnetic field properties of large-scale loops, filaments and bubbles within the Milky Way. Under the supervision of Prof. Peter Martin, she uses a variety of optical and infrared photometry to investigate the nature of the interstellar extinction curve in high-mass star forming regions. In addition to her research, Jessica is a Dunlap Diversity Committee member where she promotes a diverse and equitable workplace, and also serves as the GASA CUPE Representative.
