Deborah Lokhorst

Deborah Lokhorst is a first-year graduate student who received her undergraduate degree in Physics & Astronomy from the University of Victoria, BC.
She is currently working with Prof. Keith Vanderlinde and Laura Newburgh on instrumentation for HIRAX, a radio telescope in South Africa intended to map neutral hydrogen in the universe to help understand the nature of dark energy.
Her research interests include instrumentation, cosmology and large scale structure, and galactic archaeology, the field of galaxy formation and evolutionSupervisor: Prof. Bob Abraham
